What happens during this procedure?

Before getting your filler injection, an anesthetic or a nerve block (an injection) may be applied to your skin or treatment area. This will depend on the filler and area to be treated. Some types of fillers require allergy testing to prevent any allergic reaction. If an allergy test is required, you must wait for its results before you can get the filler. The filler will then be injected into your treatment area. You might feel a burning or stinging sensation when the filler is injected.

Is there any downtime?

Many patients continue to carry out their daily activities immediately after the treatment. We advise that you wait until the following day to do any strenuous physical activities.

When can I get my next treatment?

A temporary filler offers temporary results that could last up to 24 months depending on the type of filler and care. You can usually have your next treatment once you notice the signs of aging reappear.

What should I do after the procedure?

We advise you to take some precautions after your treatment, such as:

  • Not rubbing or massaging the area/s of injection, especially when applying wake up
  • Wait for a couple of hours before engaging in strenuous physical activity such as lifting heavy items, exercising, or any activity that raises your heart rate
